My original surgery date was December 17th and was cancelled because my surgeon broke her ankle on her way to my surgery. I now have a new surgery date February 26th, 2013. I am finally getting excited again. How many out there have had surgery dates that were canceled and did you ever get the excitement back as much as the first time it was scheduled. I am having a problem I guess just believing that this just might really happen.

As some of you may know I was scheduled for surgery Dec 17th, 2012 and was fixing to be rolled into surgery when my surgeon fell in the stairwell coming to surgery and broke her ankle and injured the other ankle. I am now back waiting for a surgery date. I have kept my weight off, but I am very discouraged---I was so ready for this to happen and now I have no idea when my surgeon will be ready to operate again. I could use some support and some nice words. Right now I am just to the point of

I am so excited yet a little scared, but am so ready to get this done.
Started my preop prep yesterday and have dropped 6 lbs----Wow that magnesium citrate works really good and was not that bad to take.
I did my preop @ Cedar Park in Austin, Tx Friday, but it did not go without complications. We found out Thursday afternoon late that my Ins. had not authorized my surgery as yet because my Psychologist did not use the MMPI2 evaluation tool. I was soooooo upset so the bariactric

I have a surgery date and will be starting a blog of my experience. Fist I had to lose 29 lbs for my insurance company to approve my gastric sleeve surgery-- I did it with high protein and low carb---NO sugar---No breads or pasta---and it really wasn't that hard---I did have a small slip Thanksgiving, but not too bad--didn't really get off track. I found some really good protein products at a local health food store and has really helped me through and hope they are just as helpful after surgery.
