6 days in to pre/op diet struggling a bit but I won't allow my self to have a melt down and already lost 4 kilo just wish my op day would come it is going so slow but getting scared excited at the same time

Wow you are so,lucky my Bmi was 36 just over and still have to do the optifast I have a big problem with coffee and chocolate heheheh Iam doing it for health as I have just got on blood pressure tablets and border line for cholesterol my wieght is 99kilo he said I should lose about 25 kilo good luck for Monday a new beginning for both of us

Hi Mandy....no i didn't have to do a pre-op diet as my BMI was less than 38....sort of wish he had made me in one way as i am having a few last minute treats.....but generally am being pretty good with my food. My surgeon is Jon Armstrong...I did a lot of research before I went with him and I am really happy with him. Saw him today to sign the consent forms, so it is all GO! Cant believe it is happening in one way, I am not nervous about the surgery really, as have had a few major surgeries in the last 10 years, ovary removal and then hysterectomy (none of it laproscopically, so have huge incisions on tum). I am more nervous that it is going to be another weight loss thing that won't work for me! somehow I will not lose the weight...or put it back on etc. It was quite funny today when the surgeon told me that if I tried to put on weight , didn't exercise, ate badly...I might put on a kilo a year...I thought to myself that I can put on a kilo just by looking at a carrot! He seems really positive that I am going to have a great result...so I am going with that!...I will private message you in a minute so you will have my email if you want to talk off forum....cheers Melissa
