- My name is Rich and I weighed 401 pounds before having Gastric Sleeve surgery on June 28 2011 but I had not been always like that in 2000 I weighed 165lb I have been through so many up and down cycles in my life I ended up gaining weight but my weight was never a problem to me until I was diagnosed border line with high blood pressure, diabetes and my glucose level was off the chart and I have 4 kids 2 boys and 2 girls who are twins and a beautiful wife I need to live for so finally I made the decision to have it done and began to start the process to a new life
