    Happy Birthday!
  2. The surgery went well on 3/8 but yesterday (6 days post op) I started vomiting, sweating profusely, and had this horrendous pain in my left shoulder that would not move or let up. I went to Drs. office and they said I was dehydrated and running low-grade fever. They ordered a CT chest and abdomen and thank goodness there was no leak! We are assuming the shoulder pain is referred from hiatal hernia surgery. I received lots of pain medication and fluids and feel much better. Pain is still in left shoulder, but not as extreme. Having a heck of a time getting fluids and proteins in. I feel pretty good today, but this fluid thing is tough!

Thanks for thinking of me Mary. My surgery went very well. I am 13 days post op and lost 2 inches and 13 lbs already. No nausea or vomiting at all. My only complaint was they torn up my esphogus and throat with the tools pretty bad. I actually have an internal lump that is real tender. I am on my puree phase. I am surprised how little I am actually hunger. I force myself to eat something every few hours though so I get nutrients. I dont want to lose my hair. I get at least 1 protein drink in a day. Need to up that for sure.

  6. Hi Ladybug:

I am so scared and so excited! I scheduled my preop diet class today and will have my surgery in 36 days! I am on the boards constantly trying to figure out what I will need before and after surgery. I am so ready for this lifestyle change.

  7. Hi Mary! I live in Beaverton, OR, and am looking for some "local" sleevers/upcoming sleevers. Are you excited or what??
  8. Pam:

I am about 1 mile west of Cedarcrest Middle School, right off 55th St...so it is a 2 week diet? Did you have your appt with the nutrition center before or after your appt with the surgeon? Did you have to purchase a lot of things for the diet?
