    Red face Fluid Intake

Hello everyone - I had my gastric sleeve on 10/25. So far, so good! Thank God I have not had any complications and things seem to be going well. The only issue I have been having is drinking. I did not drink much prior to surgery, and am having a hard time getting my full 64 oz in a day. I have tried flavoring the water, including decaf tea and coffee into my totals, but can never seem to cross much over the 50 oz line. Also, I am getting so tired of the protein shakes in the morning. It is not that I am hungry, but I just don't feel like drinking something so sweet. Does anyone have any suggestions? Thanks for your help!

You want to drink sugar-free drinks. Walmart sells quart size sugar free gatorade for $1.00 & powerade for .88. I keep those in the house for when I run errands in the car. I drink non-stop all day. However be prepared to hit the restroom when you're out.
When I'm at home I drink sugar-free Hawaiian punch (assorted flavors), or Wyler's Light, or Great value sugar-free drink or Crystal Lite from Walmart.
They come in long tubes. 10-12 for $1.00.
You can buy them at Walmart, Walgreens, Family Dollar, Target, sometimes even the super market has them in larger boxes for 3.99-5.99.(assorted flavors)
Get large glasses. I brought large coke size glasses from Dollar Tree.
They can accommodate 16 oz. Each envelope pouch can be filled with 16-20 oz. of water.
Sometimes when I'm out I buy the sugar free sweet tea from McDonald's
32 oz. for $1.00 I then add sugar-free sweetner. Lorna
